SMARTe intent is powered by Bombora — the B2B intent data standard built on a cooperative network of thousands of business media publishers. When professionals across this network research topics relevant to your business, Bombora captures those signals and aggregates them at the company level across 18,000+ topic categories. SMARTe surfaces those signals directly in your prospecting search with topic-level scores, trend direction, and geographic precision layered on top.
Topic configuration is handled by your org admin in the Admin Console. Your admin selects from Bombora's full taxonomy and sets the topics relevant to your ICP and use case. Once saved, the configuration applies instantly to every user in your org, no individual setup required. You can update your topic set at any time with no lock-in period. Changes take effect immediately across all searches.
Intent signals are refreshed weekly. Every Tuesday, the latest Bombora week's data is processed and reflected in your search results. Intent Level classifications, Very Hot, Hot, Warm, always reflect the most recent week's surge activity, not a rolling average. The Lookback Period filter (2, 3, or 4 weeks) controls how far back the system evaluates surge history, but the level badge always represents where an account stands right now.
Intent uses a consumption-based credit model. Unlocking intent data for a company costs 3 credits. That single unlock gives your entire org access to that company's intent signals for 365 days, no re-querying, no per-seat charges, no additional cost as your team grows.
Intent is available as an add-on on Pro plans and is included in Enterprise. Credit pricing for intent add-ons is available inside the platform after signing up.
Once you've filtered and selected your accounts, you can push them directly to Salesforce, HubSpot, Outreach, or Salesloft or download as a CSV for custom workflows. Intent fields including Intent Level, Top Surging Topics, and Intent Date are included in the export and map to your CRM fields via admin-level field mapping. RevOps can configure field mapping once so every export lands cleanly in the right place without manual cleanup.
SMARTe intent is powered by Bombora, whose data is sourced from a B2B publisher cooperative operating with appropriate consent frameworks in place. Importantly, intent signals reflect company-level research activity, not individual user behaviour or personally identifiable information. This distinction is significant from a GDPR standpoint, as company-level aggregated signals carry different compliance implications than individual PII.
